Here, we tested the influence of predator chemical cues on the coupling of gene expression within and across generations in a single clone of Daphnia ambigua. We reared Daphnia in the presence and absence of fish chemical cues in generation 1 and tracked shifts in gene expression across two additional experimental generations.
